Four tests 70% Plus for Lara

Lara was out competing at Horseworld EC this wkend - Riding her own Cyden Debonair winning Nov 27 on 72.8% and second in N34 to her other ride Pinto Z on 70.5%. Pinto Z came to Lara on Thursday for her to ride and compete at the wkend scoring 71.6% in first novice and 74.6% to win in the second test, Lara was over the moon with both horses.

Lara Dyson would like to welcome the latest addition to her team at Cyden Dressage, Physiotherapist - Anna Nelson.

Anna is a Chartered Physiotherapist who completed her physiotherapy degree in Liverpool in 1997, 12 years ago. After graduating, Anna worked within the NHS until 2000 when she moved into the private sector, specialising in sports injuries and musculoskeletal problems.

TWO talented horse riders from the region claimed victory at the British Dressage Northern Regional Championships.

Healing's Lara Dyson and Caistor's Katy Hurst won the medium and elementary sections respectively in the event at Frys, near Driffield.

Victory means the pair will both compete in the Dressage Deluxe National Dressage Championships, held next month at Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth.

Dyson, pictured, – who is in contention for a place on the British Equestrian Federation's World Class Dressage Equine Pathway Programme – is now back-to-back regional champion.

Last year she finished ninth in the nationals on her horse Cyden Perplex.

Hurst also has previously tasted high-level competition in the saddle: in April she took part in the Mitsubishi Motors Grass Roots Competition – part of the Badminton International Horse trials.

New Groom at the Cyden Dressage Yard

Jess Martin - New Groom at the Cyden Dressage Yard

Lara Dyson would like to welcome the latest addition to her team at Cyden Dressage, new Groom - Jess Martin.

Jess has competed in everything from Pony Club competitions to affiliated show jumping and eventing. Unfortunately with the passing of her competition horse she's off the circuit whilst bringing on her young horse to event.

Cyden Perplex heading for Nationals

Lara and Plex are heading to the nationals in a couple of weeks after their win at the Regionals at Frys. Plex has now recovered from his lung infection and is back on full form and fitness, (bucking out hacking!) Watch this space!!!!

Home International - SELECTED

Lara has been selected to ride at the Home International representing the Northern region on Laura Jarvis's cranswick's.com (Diesel) at Advanced Medium level. Lara has been competing Diesel as Laura has had two Hip operations and has been out of action, Laura is now back in action riding again so Lara is very grateful to her for lending her Diesel for this big competition.

Lara wins at Summer Regionals

Lara and Cyden Perplex win the Medium Restricted at Frys Summer Regionals so are now working towards the BD Nationals Friday 10th September.

Next outing

Lara suffered a bad fall a couple of weeks ago just while out hacking resulting in her being unconscious and needing medical attention. Apart from a dizzy spell and a few things out of place. Lara has seen Roy Midwood, who has put her back in full working order. Lara is heading towards the Regionals later next month now and will be out at Vale View for a warm up for the Medium Restricted section later this month with Cyden Perplex and Cranswicks.com.

Lara best of Amateurs at Pro Am Competition

Lara was very pleased to have ended up 2nd over at the Pro Am Challenge at the Royal Festival of The Horse. Lara got a very good percentage and ended up best of the six amateurs competing and Rebecca then rode a good test on lara's Cyden Perplex to end up 2nd out of the professionals resulting in the pair been 2nd overall.

Lara qualifies Plex and Diesel for the Sheepgate Tack and Toggs competition at the weekend

Lara is heading to Sheepgate Tack and Toggs Championship this weekend at Medium Level on Cyden Perplex and Laura Jarvis's Cranswick's.com as well as the Advanced Medium Championship on Cranswick's.com (Diesel)!

Lara is paired up with Rebecca Hughes in Pro Am Challenge

Lara is very excited to have been paired up with Rebecca Hughes in the Pro Am competition at The Royal Festival of the Horse on Friday 9th June. Plex is on top form at the moment having won at the weekend doing the same test as the Pro Am with 71.68%. The competition starts at 10am in the morning, Lara and Rebecca are third to go behind Carl Hester and Laura B. Feel free to go and support them both.

Wins all round at Sheepgate

Lara is very happy after a successful day at Sheepgate (26/6/10). Plex won the Medium on 71.6% and Diesel came second to him on 71.4%. And Lara also got exactly the same mark in the Advanced Medium on both horses to come equal 1st and qualify Diesel for the Regionals! One very good day all round.

Royal Festival of the Horse

Lara is very excited to have an invitation to compete in the Pro Am Challenge at the Royal Festival of the Horse - one of only six amateur riders to be selected to ride at Medium level on board her German bred horse, Cyden Perplex.
